If you’re here, chances are you are a blogger or know someone that is.
If you are a blogger, then you probably know the feeling of trying to explain to your friends and family what you do.
I’ve been blogging for over 5 years and my family still doesn’t quite understand what I do, though every few months one of them will ask, “what exactly do you do?”. I love that they try to understand even if the concept doesn’t quite stick.
Your friends and family may not understand what you do, but by sending them this list you can help them figure out what to give you as a gift, be it a holiday, birthday, or to celebrate a milestone.
In this post, I’m going to break down the top 9 gifts for bloggers

1. Business Books
Blogging is a business even if your friends and family don’t understand that. Books that can help you with your mindset and running your business can make for great gifts. Especially for those that don’t know what to get you.
The books I’ve included here are some of my favorites.
You’ll notice two of them are by Ruth Soukup. She’s the founder of Elite Blog Academy an amazing course that I’ve taken, and am actually in the process of re-taking, that has helped thousands of students seek great results with their blog and building their businesses.
If you can’t afford her course just yet I highly recommend you pick up one of her books. And even if you are already a student of hers, read her books as well, I had been an EBA student for over two years when I got Do It Scared in 2019, I’ll be honest, it actually made me cry – it knew me way too well.
Meanwhile, I consider The War of Art to be mandatory reading for anyone in a creative profession. It’s one that will get marked up and dog eared, and pulled off the shelf whenever a shot of motivation is needed.
Finally, as a blogger I’m always trying to find more time to get everything done and read which is why I’ve started listening to audiobooks. Sometimes I get them from my local library, sometimes from Amazon.
If you’re looking to gift a Blogger give a gift to a broader than in audible subscription from Amazon or gift certificate for it is a great gift to help them download some business knowledge from great books.
2. A Mug For Their Daily Dose Of Coffee
One of the often favorite benefits of being a Blogger is the idea that you work from home in your pajamas. Personally, I always get dressed, even if it’s just in sweatpants but I always have a cup of coffee at home and I get to take my time with it which is why I’m a big fan of super cute mugs.
This mug is the perfect gift for any Blogger as it will help give them a little boost of confidence each day they use it.
Just so you know, this post may contain affiliate links. Meaning I receive commissions for purchases made through those links, at no cost to you. I have experience with all of these companies, and I recommend them because they are helpful and useful. You can read my disclosure policy for more info.
3. A Giftcard to Use at AppSumo
If you’re not a blogger or you’re a blogger and have never heard AppSumo then you’re welcome. AppSumo is a company that helps sell lifetime deals to tools that can help you automate and streamline your blogging business.
A gift card for AppSumo or just a Visa gift card that they can use for AppSumo makes for a great gift because it will give them the tools they want to make their blogging life easier.
Some of the tools of bought from AppSumo for a one-time lifetime cost include:
- SocialBee – Which helps with my social media scheduling
- Missinglettr – which will actually come up with a social media post for me.
- Depositphotos – for stock photos
I’ve actually gotten some other tools, I’m always excited when a deal on a tool I’ve been looking at pops up in AppSumo, this just happened with BeLive. I was looking at getting it and then all of a sudden it was on AppSumo. Instead of a subscription, I got a lifetime deal for just $59. #winning.
4. A Shirt to Help Them with Marketing
It is one thing bloggers are always struggling with, it’s getting the word out about their blog.
This t-shirt is perfect for helping them to promote their blog. The only catches they have to actually wear it out of the house.
5. Cozy Clothes
Did I mention bloggers love of working at home in their P j’s? These cozy pants will let them be comfy while they work from home without actually staying in their pajamas all day. Plus, with fun little floral prints they’re cute too.
6. A Ring Light
Every Blogger has to take a photo at some point perhaps of themselves or an example of for a post or creating their own stock images.
A ring light is a really great lighting tool that doesn’t take up a lot of space. This ring light with a tripod will help them make the use of their space and the tools they have.
7. Home Decor To Make Blogging More Comfortable
Blogging is a lot of fun, but it can also be really hard which is why surrounding yourself with inspiration can be great. This fun throw pillow can help provide a little pop of inspiration when the blogging gets tough.
8. A Wine Glass For The Days When Technology Won’t Cooperate
Sometimes technology is just not nice. Websites will crash, things won’t upload, things won’t export, you name it blogging can have its rough days.
On those days a wine glass like this is perfect. Not only because it expresses how you’re feeling but also because as a Blogger working for yourself at home means you can drink while you work.
9. Wall Art To Remind Them What Really Matters When It Comes To Haters
Every blogger knows they’ve definitely made it once they get their first bit of hate. I once had someone subscribe to my email less just so they can write me an 800 word email about how much they hated my blog post.
While it definitely could have hurt my feelings I took it as a sign that I was doing something right. As a blogger, you want to attract as many people as you repel. If someone really doesn’t have anything better to do with their time than subscribe just to write a mean email then you’ve clearly incited some passion.
The truth is haters are gonna hate, potatoes gonna potate the sign is a fun reminder for bloggers if the hate ever actually is getting them down.
If you’re not in the blogging world it’s hard to know what to get a blogger. Hopefully this post helped to give you some great ideas for what to gift the blogger in your life.
If you’re a blogger hopefully, this list makes it easy to show friends and family what you’d like for a gift.
